gsport’s four Leading Ladies of the Year have shared their thoughts on the advancement of women as South Africa celebrated National Women’s Day on Tuesday, 9 August 2011.

Dorothy Tsotsobe Inducted into gsport Hall of Fame

Eastern Cape women’s rugby pioneer, Dorothy Tsotsobe has been honoured for her selfless contribution to the development of the women’s game in South Africa. She was unveiled as the 2011 gsport Hall of Fame inductee at the 6th Annual gsport Awards, at the prestigious Wanderers Club on Monday.

2010 gsport Hall of Fame inductee, Motlatsi Keikabile, one year ago. Keikabile has been voted in as Athletics South Africa Vice-President after years of service to the sporting code, and says that she is ready for hard work. “We face a challenge to bring back credibility to the organisation, but I am ready to put in the effort that is required,” says Keikabile, who will unveil the 2011 Hall of Fame inductee at the 6th gsport Awards, in Illovo, on Monday. Motlatsi Keikabile Reaches New Heights

2010 gsport Hall of Fame recipient, Motlatsi Keikabile, is upbeat about the future of athletics in South Africa after having been elected vice-president of Athletics South Africa, saying that she is ready to get down to work.

Tough Job for gsport Judges as Awards Count-Down Narrows

The gsport judging panel has a tough task of choosing four Leading Ladies of the Year to be unveiled at the 2011 gsport Awards on Monday, 1 August 2011, with twelve outstanding women battling it out for gsport glory across the four Leading Ladies categories.
