Lorna Leads Fours Team to Quarters

Lorna Trigwell and her team of Cheryl Cox, Lorraine Victor and Sylvia Burns are through to the Quarter-Finals of Women’s Fours in the World Bowls Championship, and will be playing Wales on Thursday morning at 9:00am (New Zealand time).

Mixed Fortunes for SA in Scotland

  The South African women’s team playing in the Atlantic International Tournament at Ayr in Scotland last week had mixed fortunes, and the word is that the women did slightly better than the men.  

SA Preps for World Cup in Scotland

  The combined South African bowls team departed from the OR Tambo Airport on Thursday, to participate in the Atlantic Rim Tournament at Ayr, Scotland, from 12 till 23 July.

     The National Under 25 Bowls Silver Squad attended a practice and training camp with the South African World Bowls Men and Women Teams during the past weekend, at the High Performance Centre of the University of Pretoria.
