The South African women’s triples team has claimed South Africa’s only gold medal in Christchurch, New Zealand,
after beating Australia
in the 2008 World Bowls Championships divisional title earlier on Sunday.
Of the eight teams representing South African bowls at the 2008 World Bowls Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand, the women’s triples team is the only one to progress all the way to a finals challenge, and now stands guaranteed of a silver medal.
