A Great White shark cruising close inshore interrupted the first day’s proceedings at the Kahuna Surf Series contest for novice surfers at Muizenberg Corner in Cape Town on Saturday, forcing the organisers to halt the event temporarily until the shark moved off.
More than 50 of the Western Cape’s rising surf stars have already entered the second annual Kahuna Surf Series designed to foster, encourage and develop contest surfing skills, which starts at Muizenberg Corner this weekend.
