Thanks to you, that is!
What's more, October is the month that gsport's 100th member signed up, you girls will be receiving our introductory g-member newsletter by email shortly …
So, this is what you came for in October, the month we themed ‘Support’ and focused on Soccer:
Banyana You Beauty followed gsport’s visit to the National Women’s Team’s Academy at the Pretoria High Performance Centre;
We met the main man supporting women: Banyana Banyana coach Augustine Makalakalane, the former men’s national player tasked to take the women’s team to the 2007 Women’s Soccer World Cup;
Our Sport for Starters feature focussed on helping us play the beautiful game with coaching supreme Fran Hilton-Smith;
gsport chatted to Interactive Sport, a great initiative behind Women’s Corporate Soccer all around the country; and
gsport’s regular motivational writer Michele Wolhuter took a fresh look at the concept of Support, a very popular read by all accounts.
The read you all enjoy the most is our monthly feature of Leading Ladies, and gsport’s October spread had you coming back for more… In no order of popularity, these are the Leading Ladies that gsport sought inspiration from:
gSTAR of the Month: Banyana Banyana captain Portia Modise
Woman of the Month: Isidingo's Soapie Mega-Star Michelle Botes
Women in Media: Award-winning SABC Sport Producer Keletso Totlhanyo
Style Star: 5fm DJ of International Repute Nicole Fox
