Kass Naidoo is a media specialist with a keen interest in sport, and the use of social media to connect sports fans.
Since starting work as a vacation reporter for the Mercury newspaper in 1996, Kass has been fortunate to work across print, radio, television and online media.
Today Kass is widely regarded as an award-winning sports journalist who defied the odds to achieve her childhood dream of becoming South Africa’s first female television cricket commentator at the age of 27.
Kass’ CV includes four years with Cricket South Africa, working across Commercial, Marketing, Events, Communications and Social Media, with a focus on growing and shaping the brands of CSA and the Proteas.
Promoting sport and South Africa at every opportunity, Kass uses various platforms to indulge these twin passions. Her most visible contributions is as Founder of gsport4girls, an online initiative she launched in August 2006 to raise the profile of women in sport.
A professional MC and speaker, Kass is proud to have been engaged by leading brands including the International Cricket Council, Doha GOALS, SABC Sport, South African Breweries, MTN, SPAR, Standard Bank, FNB and ABSA.
Kass is co-host of Radio 2000’s week daily sports show Game On Amplified, which airs Monday to Friday between 6-7pm, 97.2 to 100FM nationwide.
As a seasoned TV sports journalist for SABC, Kass anchored the public broadcaster’s coverage of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, and counts the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand as a personal highlight.
She and husband Ryk Meiring live in Johannesburg, South Africa, and are proud parents of their three amazing children, Daniel, Ella and Luke.
