Netball South Africa (NSA) says it will not stand in the way of the captain of the Spar National Netball team, Amanda Mynhardt, if she wishes to go to New Zealand to gain experience, as long as she follows the correct procedures.

The star studded defending champions were the team of the day in the second day of the SPAR National Netball Championships at the Bellville Velodrome. Gauteng North beat Griqualand West by a whopping 34 goals, taking the match 61 – 27.
There was no slow start to the SPAR National Netball Championships, as before play had commenced, one of the top A section teams, Gauteng Central, pulled out at the last minute.

Netball South Africa (NSA) has announced the SPAR National Netball Squad that will represent the country at the New World Netball World Championships to be played in Auckland, New Zealand from 10 – 17 November 2007.

Yvonne Phiri, a member of the SPAR South African Netball Team, has died in a car crash 4km from Hartebeesfontein on Saturday night. Phiri, 21, was returning to her parent’s home in Hartebeesfontein via Rustenburg from the national team’s training camp at the High Performance Centre at Pretoria University.
