For the second successive match, striker Tarryn Bright spared SPAR SA’s blushes when she landed the match winner in her side’s 1 – 0 win over Ireland, on Friday, in the third Test, played at Stellenbosch, Cape Town.
South Africa‘s celebrated Tarryn Bright made her 75th cap a memorable one when she scored the lone goal in the second Test against Ireland, at Hartleyvale on Tuesday evening.
The South African women’s hockey side will be looking to build on their first Test victory when they clash with Ireland at Hartleyvale on Tuesday evening (start 7pm).
Next year is an Olympic year, and the SPAR South African hockey team have moved into preparation gear with international matches lined up from early in 2008.
The SPAR South African women’s team easily qualified for the Olympic Games in Beijing next year, winning the African qualifying tournament in Nairobi without breaking into a sweat.
