Tennis South Africa crowned winners of the Growthpoint Cape Town Super 8 Junior and Open ranking tournament, which concluded on Thursday, 15 December 2022.
It was a great week for Sari Stegmann from Western Cape who claimed the Open championship after defeating Hanmaré Mc Aslin 6-2, 6-2.
In the other divisions, Megan van Vuuren outplayed Lily Haley 7-5, 6-1 in the U12 competition, meanwhile in the U14 Western Cape derby, Alicia Taylor beat Milan Swanepoel 6-2, 6-3, while Donna le Roux from Free State walked away the winner beating Abigayel Vosloo of Eastern Cape 6-2, 6-1 in the U16 division.
In the doubles action, Lea Dube and her partner Lily Haley, defeated Morakane Molaoa and Lika Claassens 6-1, 6-4 in the U12 competition.
For the U14 doubles, another Western Cape derby was an exciting one for the spectators where Alicia Taylor and Ashley Taylor defeated Charlotte Bouwer and Milan Swanepoel 7-6(4), 6-2, while Donna le Roux scored another win with her partner, Ansone Theron when they beat Milla Kotze and Nina van Eeden from Winelands 6-7(4), 6-2, 10-4.
