Second seed Abigayel Vosloo earned victories in both the women’s singles and doubles categories at the KM Sport Challenge at Selbourne Tennis Park, East London on Sunday, 15 January 2023.
Vosloo cruised to her title defeating top seed Anika Kleinhans in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
In the women’s doubles, Vosloo teamed up with Kleinhans to defeat duo Tanika Panaino and Relebogile Sereo 7-6(3), 7-5.
In other singles matches, Shazneen Kholvadia beat Paige Gulle 6-1, 6-1, while Relebogile Sereo defeated Andrea Wiseman 6-4, 6-4.
In the U14 and U16 divisions, Lonwabo Majeke defeated Nikilitha Ndungane 6-4, 7-5, meanwhile Grace Kemp beat Amy Leigh Stuart 6-0, 6-1.
Elsewhere, it was a battle between Julia Kockott and Lea Dube, with Kockott securing the win with 6-2, 4-6, 7-0 and in the other encounter, Kate Bradfield defeated Jessica Mildenhall 6-2, 6-4.
For U16 division, Madison Ann Edwards won with straight sets over Takara Giles 6-1, 6-1, while Likhona Njokweni beat Ella Burger 6-1, 6-0.
Liane van der Walt beat Kiara Roulstone 6-1, 6-2 in another U16 Girls division match.
