Adidas UK has unveiled eight sportswomen and activists’ statues in front of the Tower Bridge in London as part of their latest Bra Collection launch.
London has more statues of animals and men than it does of women. That’s not the support that women deserve in 2022.

As part of the campaign, the three stripes brand set to increase the number of women statues in the city of London, which happen to be the lowest at 4% as compared to statues of men (21%) and animals (8%).

In efforts to increase this number, Adidas erected statues honouring prominent sportswomen and activists which include the likes of Vivianne Miedema, Arsenal footballer; Eniola Aluko, footballer and commentator; Francesca Brown, footballer, and CEO of Goals4Girls; Ellie Goldstein, dancer, and model; Emily Scarratt, rugby player; Asma Elbadawi, basketballer, poet, and activist; Sherrie Silver, dancer, choreographer, and U.N. advocate; Tanya Compas – youth worker and LGBTQ+ activist.
Each of the 3D printed statues are made of recycled marine farmed waste plastics from UK oceans.
The statues will remain on the South Bank, under the Tower Bridge, for another week before being moved to long-term placements around the city of London.
