Angola beat Egypt to win the African Women’s Junior Handball championship in Conakry, Guinea on Saturday, 26 February 2022.

Both nations took on tough semi-final rounds which saw Angola outshine defending champions, Tunisia 37-27, while Egypt defeated hosts Guinea 27-23.

The final round was tightly contested as Angola took an early lead, however, the Egyptians kept up to the pace to trail by one goal at half-time.

In the end, the Angolans wrapped up the match with a 18-17 victory to claim their 10th title.

Tunisia concluded the top three, winning bronze after defeating Guinea 30-27.

Angola, Egypt, Tunisia, and Guinea have qualified for the 2022 World Women’s Junior Championship scheduled to take place in Slovenia later this year.
