Banyana Banyana have qualified for the semi-finals of the CAF 5th African Women’s Championships in Oleh, Nigeria, after beating Equatorial Guinea 2-0 this afternoon.
This bodes well for the team’s management, who have made no secret of their ambitions to get to the final, in order to qualify for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in China.
Two goals care of veteran Jo-anne Solomon and Belinda Nkosi saw South Africa through to the last four, regardless of the outcome of their final round-robin match against defending champions Nigeria on Friday.
