Hollywoodbets Super League Awards honoured and celebrated players, coaches and match officials who dominated the 2022 season at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday, 3 December.
Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies’ Boitumelo Rabale was the big winner on the day as she was honoured with the Player of the Year accolade.
To open the ceremony, the first award handed out for assistant referee, which was received by Amogelang Msiza, meanwhile Hloniphile Msezane walked away with the Referee of the Year gong, presented by FIFA-accredited Referee, Akhona Makalima.
Receiving the award for the second time for Top Goal Scorer of the Season was JVW FC’s Nompumelelo Nyandeni for her impressive 30 goals.
It wasn’t only Nyandeni who grabbed a second consecutive award, Nthabiseng Majiya of Richmond United Ladies also received Young Player of the Season, after going head to head with teammate Michelle Sampson and JVW FC’s Cimone Sauls.
Hollywoodbets Super League Sponsorship Coordinator, Indira Albuquerque highlighted the importance of the league and closing the visibility gap in women’s sport.

Playing her part in making sure that the team remains in good standings on the log, Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies’ Katlego Moletsane walked away with Goalkeeper of the Season.
The Coach of the Year, which was handed over by Banyana Banyana head coach Desiree Ellis went to Sundowns Ladies’ Jerry Tshabalala, who dedicated the award to his team.
