Canada’s Brooke Henderson has won her 13th LPGA Tour title after winning  the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions by four strokes. Her 13 professional wins are the most in Canadian golf history.

She finished the fourth round 2-under 70 for an overall score of 16-under par after leading the Tournament of Champions from wire to wire, sitting atop the leader board for all four rounds.

“It was kind of the dream start, which is really exciting,” Henderson said.

“[I’ve] always really wanted to win this one, so happy I finally got it.”

Sweden’s Maja Stark and England’s Charley Hull tied for second at 12 under.

The win is the Canadian’s 13th overall LPGA victory, and her third over the past seven months. She won at the ShopRite LPGA Classic on June 12 and the Evian Championship on July 24 2022.

“All parts of the game were working really well this week, which that doesn’t always happen, so it was really nice to benefit from that and be able to hoist this trophy.”

This victory will be a major boost in confidence for the 25 year old. “My goal is always to win a couple of times every year, hopefully more than twice, so maybe this year will be the year when I can win more than twice out on tour,” said Henderson.

She now looks ahead to playing the Honda LPGA Thailand on Feb. 23 and the HSBC Women’s World Championship on March 2.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to go out there and continue the momentum that we built up this week, and fire some low scores and see what happens.”

The LPGA season resumes in a month, as the world’s top players move on to the Asia swing.
