The Nedbank Women’s Amateur Series 2008 gets
underway next week with the first event taking place at Glendower Golf Course
in Edenvale, Johannesburg,
on 5 March.
The eight-tournament
Series happening around the country and which continues to grow in popularity, runs
until 14 November, and is open to all amateur women golfers with an official
handicap, though interested golfers are cautioned that only 120
spots remain for the Joburg venues, while KwaZulu
Natal and Cape Town only have 100 spots
available.
Organisers
are urging participants to support the Nedbank Sport Affinity programme by
donating any old or unused golfing equipment, clubs, shoes, balls or clothing
which will be distributed by The Sports Trust to eager underprivileged
budding golfers. A Growing Golf Container will be at every event for you to
place your golfing equipment in.
Prize-Winners
need to have official golf handicaps
handicap golfers will be placed at the back of the field to ensure a fun,
relaxed golf experience.
Betterball Stableford (2 golfers per team)
