Chelsea Chakanyuka won the 2023 Botswana Open Tennis Championship title, after the tournament concluded at the National Tennis Centre on Tuesday, 18 July 2023.
Chakanyuka defeated Kelebogile Monnayoo 7-6, 6-2 in the singles final, in a repeat of the 2022 final.
In the semifinals, Chakanyuka beat Leungo Monnayoo 6-2, 7-5, meanwhile Kelebogile beat Christebel Chisongo 7-5, 6-4.
In the ladies doubles, Chakanyuka and her partner Leungo Monnayoo defeated Kelebogile Monnayoo and Anele Maplanka 6-1, 6-4 to walk away victorious.
In April 2023, Chakanyuka became the World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 champion after she and her partner, Tadiwanashe Mauchi from Zimbabwe won the girls doubles final 6-4, 6-7 against top seeds, Sophia Fuller and Celina Joseph from South Africa.
