Clare Filer Clinches Gold at International Pole and Aerial Sports Competition

South Africa’s pole sports athlete Clare Filer has clinched gold at the 2022 International Pole and Aerial Sports competition in Lousanne, Switzerland. The competition concluded on Sunday, 30 October.

Currently number one in the pole sports masters division for 50-plus-year-olds, Filer has SA Federation colours in pole dance. The last time she competed globally was during the 2015 World Championships.

Elsewhere, Christien Cronje finished second to grab a silver medal in the artistic pole for 40+women.

In the artistic Hoop Doubles, South African duo, Alana Jackson and Cheree-Lee Simpson walked away with gold medals, including Kaitlin Rawson who improved her own world record in the Para Pole division.
