Without doubt it has been a good year for Elishia, she won all the championships she entered, won the female World Championships title, wrote her matric exams, and picked up MSSA’s Mind Sports Person of the Year Award.
MSSA does not distinguish between genders for this award, and yet in the face of intense competition from a number of other players, Elishia took the title to become not only the second ever female to take the title, but also the youngest recipient ever of such title.
