gsport to Honour Top Women

Its the start of Women’s Month and its also gsport’s
second birthday. We are celebrating in style this morning with the hosting
of the 2nd Annual gsport Awards at Jacaranda Hill at the posh
Westcliff Hotel where we announce gsport’s four Leading Ladies of the Year and
unveil the Annual gsport Hall of Fame inductee.

Internet
voting for the four Leading Ladies of the Year categories – Woman of the Year,
Woman in Media, Style Star of the Year, and gSTAR of the Year, yielded nearly
115 000 votes, but its now up to the gsport Elite Judging Panel, Gwen Gill,
Kuli Roberts, Jane Bramley, and Ntambi Ravele to cast the deciding vote,
choosing from the top three finalists in each category.

The three
finalists for the gsport Woman of the Year Award are national women’s cricket
team manager, Zola Thamae, Managing Director of MotorSport South Africa, Beaulah Schoeman, and visual fitness pioneer, Dr
Sherylle Calder.

The three
finalists for the gsport Woman in Media Award are Lesedi FM’s Dikeledi
Makhongoana, SABC Sport’s Renelle Naidoo, and Radio 2000 cricket commentator,
Natalie Germanos.

The top
three contenders for the gsport Style Star award are Top Billing’s Jeannie D,
model and actress, Tanya van Graan, and artist, Tamara Dey.

The three

Brits, veteran cycling champion, Anriette Schoeman, and Kommetjie surfing
sensation, Tarryn Chudleigh.

The awards
ceremony starts at 10am and is set to attract top women in sport, business, and
entertainment from around the country, including gsport’s inaugural Hall of
Fame inductee, international swimming icon, Penny Heyns, and last year’s
