India earned their third victory in the T20I series against SA U19, after an extra match was added to their fixture list at Steyn City School on Tuesday, 3 January 2023.
The match was included after two of their previous matches last week were abandoned due to persistent rain.
India won the toss and elected to bat first and won by 60 runs.
Seshnie Naidu took the first wicket, taking out Shweta Sehrawat for 24 off 26 balls after 7.5 overs and grabbed the second wicket, taking Gongadi Trisha off the field for 5 runs off 8 balls after India were 62/2 after 9.2 overs.
India got served a runout, followed by LBW of Sonia Medhiya with Kayla Reyneke leaving India at 64/4 after 10.5 overs.
Karabo Meso held it down for the South African team, catching a ball that was bowled by Jemma Botha to send Shakha Shalot back to the stands after 49 runs to make it the fifth wicket to fall down after 17 overs and also dismissed Titus Sadhu for 6.
They restricted India to 121/6 in 20 overs.
In the run chase, India were commended for their bowling performance as the South African side were bowled out for 61.
Kayla Reyneke top scored with 14 off 23 balls.
