Ireland has announced its squad of 22 women’s hockey players to tour South Africa next month.
Coach Gene Muller has included a few new faces in the squad of 22, including Shirley McCay, Roisin Flinn, Rachel Mulligan and Shauna Frey.
Ireland will feature in a six-match tournament, along with South Africa and Canada.
The tournament forms part of the SPAR Hockey Festival taking place at Stellenbosch University Sport Performance Institute early next year.
The hockey festival will feature 22 international matches and will also play host to current world champions, Germany, and Olympic champions, Holland.
