South Africa’s leading wheelchair tennis champion Kgothatso Montjane and her partner, Japan’s Manami Tanaka have progressed to the doubles semi-final at the Australian Open.

The pair displayed an outstanding 6-2, 6-3 performance to defeat Japanese pair Shiori Funamizu and Saki Takamuro.

Montjane and Manami will face second-seeded pair Yui Kamiji of Japan and Zhenzhen Zhu of China in the semi-final round.
