La Rochelle Girls High School pupil, Kylie Basson is pleading for financial back up as she has been selected to represent her school at the Penn Relays in the United States of America from 27-29 April 2023.
Basson is part of the nine athletes for the event which will run for over three days, with 15 000 athletes (648 schools) competing.
By participating, Basson will gain international exposure and compete against the best athletes in the world.
Some of Basson’s achievements include:
– Full Honorary Colours at La Rochelle Girls High School.
– Outeniqua (Kwagga) Top 10 in October 2022. Best U14 Girls Athlete. She achieved over 1000 points on the ASA points table.
– At the Boland 5 Star Achievers Awards on 02 December 2022 she received a 4 Star Award in recognition for her Athletics Performance during the 2022 season.
The estimated cost will be approximately R60 000 per athlete. Between R30 000 – R40 000 will be the responsibility of the parent and the athlete. Any monetary value will be accepted.
All sponsorships or funds raised will be strictly monitored by the school and must be deposited into the schools account as stated in the attached documentation.
