South African international footballer Leandra Smeda signs with Spanish women’s football club, DUX Logrono, as announced on Saturday, 23 July 2022.

 

Smeda joins the Primera Federación club from Vittsjo GIK where she played since 2019 and helped the club to win its first ever medal, finishing third in the Damallsvenskan League.

The 33-year-old played her 100th match for South Africa against Japan on the 10th of November 2019.

Her senior career started back in 2010, where she played for Ambassadors Ladies.

Apart from playing for University of Western Cape in 2013, Smeda also had a stint Gintra Universitetas in 2018 in Lithuania.
