Lucky Girls Football Club pulled off a stellar performance to defend their SAFA Overberg Easter Tournament title over the past weekend.
The team played their first match of the tournament on Saturday, 8 April 2023, against Salim United Ladies, where Lucky Girls dominated the encounter to secure a 3-0 victory.
As the team progressed to the semi-final round, they took on Grootboos FC, where they managed a 5-0 win to march on to the final.
In the final, they took on Lidz FC from the Eden Region, eventually taking the win and defending their crown.
Lucky Girls FC’s goalkeeper, Emihle Ndehle (Martinez) defended her Goalkeeper of the Tournament trophy.
While, her teammate Chuma Gama (Scara) walked away with the Defender of the Tournament accolade.
