2020 Momentum gsport Awards’ Public Choice recipient , Awande Malinga, is in a positive state of mind after winning the Balwin Properties SA Schools Squash Closed 2021 – Girls U19 title.
A week before the tournament, Malinga revealed her intentions to raise the bar at the tournament and the universe listened.
“I feel very happy that I am champion of the Balwin Closed because it shows all my training, sweat and pain is all worth it,” said the 15-year-old to gsport.
“I sure do get why top athletes say all victories take time, now I can keep that in the bag for future reference in tournaments.”
“Going forward I know that I am capable of doing very well in tournaments, I just need to find new strategies on developing my squash and mind. I am in top condition for any competition,” Malinga concluded.
