Momentum Proteas all-rounder Marizanne Kapp completed a brilliant 5 wicket haul to register the best bowling figures at the inaugural Women’s Premier League on Saturday, 11 March 2023.
Kapp, alongside her teammate Shikha Pandey, who scalped three wickets, assisted Delhi Capitals to restrict Gujarat Giants for 109/5 in 20 overs.
In reply, Shafali Verma played an explosive knock of 76* off 28 balls as the Capitals overcame Giants by 10 wickets.
During the post-match presentation, Kapp said: “Feels good to contribute tonight (Saturday). That’s what makes it tough being an all-rounder. If you bowl well and don’t bat well, you don’t feel good. Thankfully I wasn’t needed to bat tonight,” she concluded.
