The deal with Clere Active will see Cox act as brand ambassador and spokesperson for one of the biggest selling body lotion brands in the country. Cox will partake in a number of campaigns for the brand which includes TVC, point of sale advertising, as part of a host of advertising components.
South Africa’s most marketable female athlete has just finished production on a TV commercial which will air on local television screens in December 2013.
Cox, who received numerous plaudits for her on-field performances and leadership over the years, earned a record 300th cap for the Proteas earlier this year.
2013 has also been a successful year for Clere Active, a brand within the AMKA Products stable, has rapidly gained market share since its introduction onto shop shelves in 2010. “It’s an honour to be associated with such as a forward thinking brand that remains popular and successful despite some pretty stiff competition,” said Cox.
“That ability to box with the big guns is a value that I hold very dear in my playing career, and something I can identify with in Clere.”
Clere Active Brand manager Geoffrey Holtes said Cox had shown leadership, determination and poise throughout her career, and was the perfect face for one of their flagship brands.
He said: “Once we decided to find an ambassador to showcase our products, Marsha was an immediate choice. She is well-known for her strength of character, and we are proud to be associated with one of South Africa’s leading sportswoman.”
The deal was brokered by Newton Sports Agency.
