The SA Hockey Indoor team announced as the squad will take on Namibia in a five-match test series in Windhoek starting from 28 October 2022.
The ladies in green and gold will use the series as part of their preparations, as the country gears up to host the 2023 FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup in February.
The squad for the series includes South Africa’s experienced and most capped player Jessica O’Connor, while Robyn Johnson and Celia Seerane will have the opportunity to earn their 50th test caps. Tegan Fourie will be on the lookout for goal number 50 on the international stage.
Star players of the Ireland tour earlier this year are included with Jess Lardant, Kayla de Waal and Edith Molikoe. While Cerian Fourie will have her chance to earn her first test cap along with Kirsty Adams and Laiken Brisset.
This will be an opportunity for Coach Lennie Botha to look at players and get a squad that will take on the rest of the world in Pretoria next year for FIH Indoor Hockey World Cup honours.
