SA Lead Zim in COSAFA Semi

South Africa’s women’s national soccer team, Banyana Banyana, is leading Zimbabwe 1-nil at halftime in the second semifinal of the women’s COSAFA Cup in Lusaka.

South African captain, Portia Modise, found the net in the 13th minute to give her team the lead. 

Should Banyana beat Zimbabwe, they will face Namibia in tomorrow’s final.Namibia advanced to the final a short while ago, beating hosts, Zambia, 5-4 on penalties in the first semifinal match.

Namibia led Zambia 1-nil at halftime but Zambia fought back to make it 1-all, which is how it ended after regulation time. Namibia then pipped the COSAFA Cup hosts, 5-4 on penalties.
