Wheelchair Tennis’s Kgothatso Montjane, has just departed from the Tennis Canada International Championships with great results for South Africa.

Kgothatso narrowly lost to Lucy Shuker of Great Britain 6-3 3-6 6-3 to finish runner-up in the singles, a feat she repeated in the doubles match.

The Tennis Canada International Championships was ranked as a Grade II event – a high-ranking event internationally, and confirms Montjane’s No.1 in South Africa, and her No.12 ranking on the world circuit.

Montjane has just arrived in the States with her men’s wheelchair tennis counterpart, Lucas Sithole, where they will play their final competition in Hilton Head, South Carolina starting on Thursday, September 15, 2011.
