Subscriber Challenge Success Returns

by | Nov 23, 2007

Following the inaugural 2007 Women’s Subscriber Challenge, which attracted an entry of 350 women golfers from around the country, Golf Digest will be hosting their second Women’s Subscriber Challenge in 2008.

The regional days will be played at four top venues around South Africa, with the national finals again being hosted by Arabella in the Western Cape in March 2008.

"The Women’s Subscriber Challenge gives women golfers the opportunity to play in their own exclusive golf days, with the incentive of qualifying for the finals at a fabulous resort venue," says Golf Digest editor Stuart McLean.

"It is a successful offshoot of Golf Digest’s popular Subscriber Challenge event, which caters almost exclusively for male golfers."

The regional rounds will take place at the following venues:
  • Kingswood in George: 12 February 2008
  • Selborne in KZN: 15 February 2008
  • Pecanwood in Gauteng: 19 February 2008
  • De Zalze in the Western Cape: 28 February 2008

To enter go to the Golf Digest website to download your entry form. The entrance fee is R499 per person, and includes a six-month subscription to Golf Digest magazine, green fees, halfway house, dinner, a Polo golf shirt, a Polo peak cap, a sleeve of Srixon golf balls, a glass of KWV chardonnay wine after your round, plus fantastic prizes from the sponsors.

Entries must be in pairs and all golfers need to have an official SAGA handicap, the maximum accepted handicap being 32.

The top three couples at each event will qualify for an all-expenses paid luxury trip to the national finals from March 19 to 21 at Arabella Country Estate in the Cape where they will play two rounds of golf and be treated like a princess! Don’t delay, places are limited.
