Western Province completed a last-ball victory over Boland in the final of the provincial Women’s One-Day Challenge on Saturday, after a match in which both teams’ chances see-sawed, only for WP to claim their second consecutive victory over favourites Boland in heart-stopping fashion.

The final of the domestics women’s provincial cricket tournament has come down to a Western Cape derby, in a rematch of the 2005/06 final between the season’s Coastal League log leaders Boland, and runners-up Western Province.
National Cricket Squad Announced
A South African national women’s cricket squad has been announced to participate in a camp at the High Performance Centre in Pretoria between 20 and 22 April 2007, with a view to settling the squad to tour Netherlands and England between July and August this year.
