British road race champion Sharon Laws became the first international cyclist to win the Momentum 94.7 Women’s Race. Her compatriot Catherine Williamson came second. Cherise Stander was the first South African home in third place.

MTN teenage cyclist Cherise Taylor is the 2008 Cycle Tour Champ. Eighteen-year-old Cherise Taylor achieved one of her lifetime goals on Sunday when she edged out the country’s top women in a frantic bunch sprint to capture the coveted Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour title.
