Kalmer Cruises to 10km Challenge Win
Olympic marathon qualifier Rene Kalmer eased to finish line to claim the 10km title at the 19th annual Spar Women’s Challenge from King’s Beach in Port Elizabeth on Saturday in 33:30, ahead of Zintle Xiniwe (34.01) and Irvette van Blerk (34.15), while 13-year-old Simone Weitz took home the 5km crown.

Best Grommet Games Yet
The 2007 Reef Wetsuits SA Grommet Games, presented by Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism and supported by funding from Sport and Recreation South Africa, was completed at the Pipe, Pollock Beach in Port Elizabeth Sunday (April 8), and was by far the most successful in the sixteen year history of the tournament.
