O’Neill to Sponsor Shark Spotting

  Following the recent media warnings about an increase in Great White shark activity, the residents of Cape Town have one less thing to worry about now that one of the popular surf brands, O’Neill, has stepped in to sponsor the Shark Spotting Campaign.  

Clark Scoops Final Billabong Event

Heather Clark made a triumphant return to SA surfing when she scored a narrow but deserved win in the Open division of the fourth and final Billabong ‘Girls Get Out There’ Surf Series event which finished in wind affected one metre waves at Tableview in Cape Town on Sunday.

Kahuna comes to Kommetjie

Kommetjie, the epicentre of surfing on the Cape Peninsula, will be the venue for the third- and final event of the 2006 Kahuna Surf Series, where the top up-and-coming young guns of Western Province surfing will be crowned this weekend.

Kahuna Surf Event Continues

Novice surfers Constance Haas (Plumstead, U12), Sabrina Scott (Glencairn, U14) and current U16 girl’s ratings leader Kirsten Kingma will be looking to push home their advantage as the second of three Kahuna Surf Series events kicks off at Melkbosstrand this weekend.
