The South African women’s team playing in the Atlantic International Tournament at Ayr in Scotland last week had mixed fortunes, and the word is that the women did slightly better than the men.

The combined South African bowls team departed from the OR Tambo Airport on Thursday, to participate in the Atlantic Rim Tournament at Ayr, Scotland, from 12 till 23 July.

World Bowls has recently released its list of internationally top-seeded bowlers, and South Africa’s Lorna Trigwell is still the world’s Number One ranked woman bowler, retaining that position for another year.
