South Africa’s Taylon Bieldt broke the national 100m Hurdles record at Camp Scuola in Italy on Sunday, 04 June 2023.
Bieldt cruised to victory in 12.76 seconds, ahead of Veronica Besana of Italy who was second in 13.01.
In the 200m hurdles, Bieldt also set a new meeting record of 23.13 ahead of Lina Torres Licona of Colombia, who finished in 23.55 and Italy’s Irene Siragusa who came in third in 23.70.
In May 2023, she smashed her personal best of 12.91 in Mangaung and another one in Madrid of 13.10 last year.
