Tenille out of Liberty Bell Semi

Seventh seeded Tenille Swartz has bowed out of the Liberty Bell Open Women’s Squash Championships in Philadelphia, having played through to a semi-final clash with fourth seeded Alana Miller (Canada).

Tenille had upset Irish second-seeded Aisling Blake in a tough quarterfinals tussle, after beating the USA’s Britt Hebden in straight sets in the first round, conceding only 3 points in the match.

Miller took the first game 9-2, with Swartz levelling matters by winning the second 9-5.

Miller having notched the third game 9-7, ran away with the fourth 9-1 to take her place in the final.

In the final of the event, top-seeded Manuela Manetta cleaned up Miller in four sets to claim the Liberty Bell Open cup, after a dodgy second set went away from her.
