It is a very emotional day for me as I finished my last session in South Africa before I jet off to join my team @racinglouisvillefc. It has been a really awesome 6 months to be around my family, friends, and loved ones. pic.twitter.com/4wPvBX0OoK

Kgatlana suffered an Achilles tendon injury during the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament back in July 2022.
Prior to her injury, the striker had just signed a two-year contract with Racing Louisville and now, six months later she is now ready to meet her new teammates.
“I can’t wait to meet with my new teammates at Kentucky, but I am still going through rehabilitation from the Achilles tendon injury. I am close to full healing and at the moment I am running and trying to get to full fitness,” she revealed on social media.
The 26-year-old has already missed a large number of games but has commended her Kentucky side for being helpful throughout the period she was injured.
“The club (Racing Louisville) has been very helpful and for that I want to applaud them.”
On her Instagram, Kgatlana also thanked the South African Football Association, her surgeon, and his medical team as well as everyone who showed her love during what was a difficult time in her career.
