Whilst Tshwane and Johannesburg sailed into the semi-finals, Day Four was an all-out battle for the last two semi-final positions of the Spar National Netball Championships at the North West University in Potchefstroom on Thursday, 11 August 2022.
It was a battle between Dr Kenneth Kaunda, Nelson Mandela Bay and Mangaung but unfortunately, Nelson Mandela Bay’s hopes were crushed when they suffered a 43-31 defeat to Dr Kenneth Kaunda.
Dr Kenneth Kaunda coach, Elsunet du Plessis said she was happy that her team was peaking at the right time: “It is a very positive thing for us and we look forward to playing whoever we come up against in the semi-finals.
Cape Winelands defeated Mangaung, but it was not enough to see them through as Mangaung later defeated Buffalo City to clinch their semi-final spot.
Tshwane advanced to the semi-finals with a clean sheet, whilst Johannesburg defeated Dr Kenneth Kaunda to ensure they had a comfortable passage into the semi-finals.
