Vimbela, who was part of last year’s team, will be headed back to the United Kingdom for a second successive season.
Looking ahead to the domestic season, following her recent exploits at the Commonwealth Games for South Africa, she said: “It’s great to be able to come back to Lightning for a second season.
“I have learnt a lot; I am ready to contribute and connect with the team again. The VNSL is becoming more competitive and exciting. I can’t wait for the challenge and what we bring to the league, we want the title back.”
Speaking of the recent signings, Head Coach Vic Burgess added: “I am really excited to be working with such a fantastic defensive unit.
“We have a good balance of experience and youth, all open to learning from each other and push each other on and off the court.”
