South Africa’s #SPARProteas got their stage 2 Netball World Cup preliminary round off to a positive start, winning against Trinidad & Tobago at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Monday, 31 July 2023.
The South African’s put up a convincing performance, which saw them secure a 69-28 victory.
Nichole Taljaard was named Most Valued Player for her outstanding play on the day.
The host nation will face New Zealand in their next match on Wednesday, 2 August at 18h00 CAT.
In the other evening encounter at CTICC 2, England beat Tonga 72-46.
While in the earlier afternoon matches, Jamaica continued to pile on the pressure on their fellow opponents, defeating Uganda 61-49 in what was a tight encounter.
Singapore also added their name to the winners board, beating Sri Lanka 55-52.
