The Uganda Netball Association has announced their strongest possible team to face the South African Proteas in Heritage Day’s first of three encounters in the SPAR Challenge Netball Test Series, to be played at the University of Pretoria’s Mamelodi Campus Indoor Sports Centre.
The last time the two sides met was in Uganda three years ago, with the hosts narrowly beating the Proteas in the last test of the series. The series kicks off at 16:00 on Monday, with the other two matches being played at 19:00 on Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th respectively.
South Africa, who are fifth in world rankings behind New Zealand, Australia, England and Jamaica; are using the three-match test series against their African counterparts to prepare for the World Championships, due to take place in New Zealand later this year.
Entrance to the matches is free.
