Alejandra Morales Martinez scooped both individual and team gold at the Region V Youth Games in Lilongwe, Malawi on Sunday, 4 December 2022.
The tumblers girls won the team gold and in the individual competition, Martinez picked up another gold for South Africa.

The 14-year-old, who was the flag bearer on Friday, 02 December 2022, beat off her teammate Anina Le Hannie to grab gold, while Hannie walked away with silver.

The teen sensation said: “My role model is Simone Biles but I also want to be a role model to others. I want to inspire girls to believe that boys aren’t good at everything that they do and beat them in some things as well.”
