Banyana Banyana goalkeeper Andile Dlamini believes that the team’s unity is key for their success at their second FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament.

Speaking in an interview on the FIFA website, the 30-year-old unveiled that the team’s development and unity will give them a better chance at this year’s edition of the tournament than back in 2019.

“(That’s) the feel that we need to keep with going to the World Cup, because if you have that unity and bond and nothing comes between you guys, nothing will distract you.

“So we had that. That’s why we won the Africa Cup of Nations.”

The South Africans will start their campaign against Sweden on the 23rd of July before playing Argentina and Italy in Group G.

Speaking on their performances at the World Cup, Dlamini says that the team needs to be clinical: “Every chance that we create needs to be in the back of the net. We need to play more compact and not lose discipline on the field of play.”
