Now how can we mention an illustrious awards ceremony and not have Desiree Ellis in the conversation!? Ellis, unsurprisingly made it on to the list for Coach of the Year, she also won the Coach of the Year accolade at the gsport awards in 2023. And to top it off, Banyana has been included in the Team of Year list.
Sundowns Ladies coach Jerry Tshabalala is also nominated for Coach of the Year, again, this isn’t surprising given his teams dominance on the continent.
The Brazilians are also the only South African team to make the Club of the Year list.
The ceremony will take place on 11 December 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco.
