Banyana Banyana won the Sports Personality of the Year at the annual Feather Awards, which were held at the Market Theatre, in Johannesburg, on Thursday, 10 November 2022.
The 2022 Feather Awards nominees were revealed at Constitutional Hill back in October, with the reigning WAFCON champions nominated alongside national team goalkeeper, Andile Dlamini and SA’s wheelchair tennis star, Kgothatso Montjane.

The Feathers Awards, now in its 14th year is organised in partnership with the Thami Dish Foundation, which works towards educating the public at large about the struggles faced by the LGBTIQ+ community.
