As we continue to reflect on the highlights of 2022, we look back at the first ever gsport Business Breakfast where commercial insights to advance women’s sport were shared.
The business breakfast, which featured as the top three stories for the year in the Rosebank Killarney Gazette, saw women’s sport leaders, corporate giants and media gather at the Imperial Wanderers Stadium (now renamed DP World Wanderers) where gsport had the opportunity to share our action learning journey with Henley Business School.

On the day, a commercial roadmap with practical steps to help close the gender pay-gap and ensure that sportswomen are fairly remunerated, was presented.
Dr Julian Day, founder of the Systemic Stairway, took guests through the formula, saying: “We must make commitments, to make real change. This systematic stairway methodology is one that allows us and the broader women in sport landscape to show support and see through necessary investment.”
As we head into 2023, it is vital that all role players and stakeholders on the stairway work together to ensure that there is necessary action taken to amplify the progress of women’s sport.
